Nickelback... I think. It's brutally hard to choose, seeing as the standard of rock bands has gone up significantly in the last few years but, if we're talking about moody guitar solos and crashing drums then yeah, it has to be the Canadian lads, lol! :D

Far too many classic rock pioneers to mention...most of the guys from the late 60s/early 70s - Led Zep etc. etc.

And to nod to the modern guys - Metallica stand out head and shoulders above.
