My father. He bought me a beautiful blue bike (my favorite color) and had a horn put on it and a little white plastic basket with six pink, yellow and blue flowers on the front. It was beautiful.

Me, as there was no one else with any time to teach me. I enjoyed doing it though and every time I fell off, I just got back on until I could do it. I never even cried. I'm quite tenacious.

My Dad. I don't remember ever falling off, but it would be a miracle if I got it on the first try. I remember Daddy given me a push and saying keep peddling and push the peddels backward if you want to stop. We lived on a farm and I ran into one of my mother's chickens (didn't kill her) and it made my mom a little ill that I did so. But I took to the bike like fish to water. Since then, I've always ridden. I have a bike now.

My dad... And a tree. It was a joint effort really... my dad taught me the balance and pedaling part, and the tree was instrumental in my learning how to steer and break.

My training wheels. I loved those things. And then my dad took them off and made me ride without them.

My friend showed me how to start one foot on the curb by myself coast then fall over in the grass. It was Evil Kenevil that inspired me to build a ramp and visit the ER for stitches.

My brother. He didn't tell me there was a brake. So I ran up under the front of my step-dad's Mack Truck. That stopped me and gave me a concussion but I rode that purple banana seat all the way under that truck.

My brother held up the bicycle while I got on he pushed it a little and then let go.I didn't know he let go but when I realized it I knew enough to pedal to keep balance.
