Who thought of eating...?

Why would anyone discover cheese and then eat it? Or yogurt? And back to cheese, once it was established as a safe and tasty food, who would discover blue cheese, and then eat that? And eggs? Who would find and egg and think about eating it?

I want to know about salt. did it fall into food from dried seawatered hair? I think the egg might have been discovered through falling on a hot rock...and curiousity

I sure wouldn't! My guess is, somebody who was very desperate for food and possibly starving!! And maybe delirious to come up with such gross ideas and decided they are viable.

pinneaple - that has always boggled my mind - how would anyone figure that there was yummyness inside all the spikes!

And milk from a cow...i mean i get that people would say hey baby cows drink the milk like babies drink from their moms but who was the first person to say - hey lets drink the baby cows food! weird....but yummy nonetheless...

My guess is someone that was on the verge of starvation. I'm thinking there was a lot of "trial and error" when it came to figuring out which foods were safe in the old days...

If you're about to die, anyway, what have you got to lose, right?

Good question. I know right imagine just seeing something like an egg and saying oh I bet that would taste good.

Hi pickynancy1234
I think it works the other way. Omnivores put everything in their mouths and anything that stays down is food. Hunger is a compelling cook. In China I think they call it Famine food - means everything!
