Hi intelflirt
language is a reflection of reality - not cruel other than being frank. Lisp is a word making the sound of the impediment. It describes in its own pronunciation what it describes.
Now it seems cruel but not so. Life was earthy but language must have meaning. Greek or Latin medical terms are often constructed the same way but are less apparently cruel. It is how language often is created.
