Oh the Beatles without Doubt!

Why? From '63 - '70 they pretty much reinvented music...such great albums...they were probably one of the first albums bands...Sgt Pepper....what a great record? I love Revolver too! Innovative production values + talented musicians + good hummable tunes = you can't go wrong!

Elivis, in his hayday, took what was around - black R & B and Gospel, Country and Pop - and put it together to make it marketable...still good but not great...

Also they were more talented and could write songs and play instruments, as well as sing. Elvis was cool because he got a lot of white people to realize that the black music was ok to listen to. I wonder if the Beatles would have been as successful as they were if Elvis didn't exist? Rated: +2Vote for this!

LowBottom	Posted Feb 5th, 2009 at 5:58PM Although Elvis was a great performer and a pioneer, the Beatles win hands down. They wrote so much of their material and were talented writes and musicians. Elvis had some ability but he not that of any of the Beatles as individuals when it comes to writing and musicianship. Iwas raised listening to Elvis and probably know his music as well as or better than the Beatles in some cases but the Beatles take the prize! Rated: +1Vote for this!
