Why always someone else's fault? Why do so many people sue for compensation? It gets on my bloody nerves

I've just read a story about a teacher you fell and became paralysed in a welly throwing competition. He is suing the adventure company for 5 million pounds.
Well I'm sorry but can't an accident simply be an accident anymore?
People feel they have the right to always blame others these days.
Don't get me wrong obviously there are genuine cases who deserve recompense, but so many just want to make a lot of money.

If companies was like do the constantly repairing instead of grabbing cash into their pockets and not do the check if there is any fatal errors or a lot of danger where they got their companies at and fix these , you would never see people sue to get cash back from as most of the cases are human fatal errors and from companies fatal not any other human. It is people's right to have money from companies as they didn't do their job right by fixing stairs or elevators or AC or any other reasons that people get diseases or hurt cos of it.
