Why am I able to pop my gum ONLY on the left side of my mouth, 2 months after having my wisdom teeth removed?

I was NEVER able to pop my gum until I had my wisdom teeth removed the summer before my sophomore year of high school. I found this to be weird and was curious to know how this was possible.
