well im a Jew<br />
And im broke<br />
Amaya go give me cash!
mmm Methinks a lot of people havn't been to Scotland..."A Poverty Stricken Country" !!..."Thrifty"... "giggle"<br />
I must be living in the wrong country.....oops !!
I'm Jewish ( 3/4 Israeli and 1/4 Scottish) I don't know what to say.....do they cancel each other out?
I'm a born Scot and a Christian (IE, an "adopted Jew), so I can tell you that when it comes to money, they may as well be the same race. (No offense to either intended)
That is a really good question. I always wondered how the Scots got the English to quit calling them dogs.
Jews aren't cheap, the last one I bought cost me a fortune. The Scots kinda have to be thrifty; they live in a poverty stricken country.
How about a Scottish Jew?<br />
From before Shakespeare's pejorative view of Shylock, Jews have always been considered cheap. It has to do with their traditional roles as money lenders in the Middle Ages. <br />
Scots, on the other hand, being somewhat more mainstream and one helluva lot feistier would be called thrifty because many of them were extremely poor.<br />
You know I'm teasing. It's the same sort of thing as men being assertive and women being ballbusters. <br />
... and yes, I'm a Jew with very little money ...
not sure, but without the two I can assure you that we would not have invented copper wire. As it was Gary Bruce and Merv Glickman that came to the conclusion while fighting over a penny back in the 1800's. God bless!
Be careful Beadman as I have Both Bloodlines running through my veins I can win at any deal any time and any Day thus that may make me thrifty and cheep but still Wise as the Ant who saves up it,s storehouse for the long winter.
I've only heard Jews were good at making money and I've never heard the one about the Scots.Mm,generalizations.. :P
