I don't know. They're really quite harmless - unless you really provoke them (we're talking honey bees here, not wasps or meat bees).
They're not afraid of bees, they're afraid of getting stung.
Some people are allergic.
Cause they gang up and have a sting in their tale.
They have a toxic sting. Getting stung multiple times could force you to be allergic to them, and when this happens you could end up dead. I always avoid bees, wasps, and hornets.
I'm allergic to them...I have to carry an Epi-pen at all times in case I get stung!

No clue. I understand if you are deathly allergic, beyond that...
Because rightly or wrongly they naturally assume that they are going to be stung and injured. For most people it's just an instinctive fear.
