If you suffering from a chronic illness like ALS, or an advanced, untreatable Cancer that causes endless debilitating agony, then I am all for the right to die by one's own hand.

If you are physically fine, and are blessed with a perfectly capable body, but you want to die *because nobody loves me and things never go my way* then suicide is the ultimate act of selfishness.

Feeling suicidal? Get off your lazy *** and go volunteer in a sick kids' hospital for a couple of months. Do some work with a paraplegic. Spend some time helping the homeless who've truly lost everything.

If you won't live for yourself, then give the remainder of your life to those who would truly appreciate it.

well, Joe I think people have given you a lot of really good advice and you don't want to take anything to heart because you think you've made your mind up. But have you? If you did you wouldn't be still here on this earth.. Did you do something so unbearably bad that your concience is eating you?

Suicide is not a decision. It is a glitch in decision making, one that excludes the person from knowing the outcome. Besides, no one possesses their lives. Life is a result of indefinitely many events large and small, slow and fast. We are not owners but recipients of our lives. Yes, we have the power to end the process but whatever we hope to achieve by doing so is utterly irrelevant since we have no way of knowing the result.

Thats a very scientific way of putting it. But if you crunch the numbers on how many people there are and have been then Im sure you would find more than a few had no "glitches" in their systems yes?

If you refer to people who killed themselves in history for saving others, you have a point there. Sometimes outcomes may become evident to a degree that no experience is required. But I'd guess it is pretty rare.

Because your soul is not yours! it belongs to ALLAH "GOD" you have to protect your soul because it is a guardianship. You can face all your issues what ever they are! I know they could be very hard but I know every problem has it's solution.

Suicide is a permenant solution to a temporary problem.
I speak as someone who has attempted it myself 3 times. It was completely selfish. So I was hurting and miserable. So what. The pain that I would have caused other people (even though I didn't believe it at the time) wouldn't have been fair to them. I don't give a rat's a$$ about my life, but I will not cause other people to suffer.

Selfishness. Sorry, I put other people before myself. My pain is temporary. What I would cause to other people could last a lifetime.

pull yourself together, you can live a long life, don't waste that idiot, some of us are not that lucky, but you don't see us being all drama queen about like you are now.
So stop trying to get attention and do something about it if you really want to kill yourself.

Would you prefer everyone be 'for' suicide? Sure, it's not our life, so we should just turn a blind eye and pretend everythings peachy. Not give a care about anything else but ourselves, sounds like a great way to live :l

I believe my life is not mine. I believe God owns my body. This I believe He is the only one to have the final say on when i die.

    It's all about ownership.

The *idea* is that most people who commit suicide aren't mentally stable. Idk about most people, personally, but I wasn't when I considered it.
