We're born and we learn early in life how easily judgments are tossed around and debated. We sometimes learn to judge, based on what those around us, feel and think. Sometimes we even become afraid to discuss our lives with our loved ones because we are scared of what they will think of us, and ultimately judge us on. We can be influenced on what to think by our friends, family, acquaintances, strangers, the media, movies, our everyday lives, and many other sources. We become so used to judging that it becomes our second nature. If someone doesn't look like us or share our same interests, we judge whether that person is worthy or whether we want to associate with him/her. If someone clearly is different, we judge that we don't want to get involved with someone we deem has 'issues'. Fact is, we all have issues, we are all different, and we all are guilty of judgiing another. Only when we have judged ourselves, can we take a step back and realize that judgments can be harmful and cause the kind of pain that no one should have to bear. Judge and you, too, should be judged some day. Nobody escapes judgment day.

That depends on what you mean by judgmental. Stating a fact isn't judgmental, it's stating a fact. Putting someone down because they are different is. I think those who put someone down because they are different, do so to deflect attention from their own short comings.

Because they feel bad about themselves. It varies, though. Some pull others down so they don't feel inferior or guilty. Others just have a sour attitude, and therefore are expressing their dark emotions by seeing everything around them negatively.
