All I hear about is a "liberal media" when all major news services are owned by conservatives...... I've never heard anyone prove bias other than those who can point at MSNBC or Fox. It's amazing because broadcast news, CNN and even CNBC are nothing more than sensation seeking organization who'd rather cover Beiber or the Grammys than a congressional vote, budgets, or defense spending compared to "welfare" spending. It's nuts. The system is broken due to corporate influence. They have bought the media as well as our politicians. I pay more attention to budget data compiled by the CBO or other government agencies.
Do you think it might be that liberals control the educational system which have been teaching the journalists how to conduct their craft for the last 60+ years! There are no journalists who think they should be unbiased. The see their duty to be agents of social change! I had a friend who was a new reporter for the Times-Picayune in New Orleans when the ownership changed hands. All of a sudden his stories were being reedited to have a totally different slant. He soon came to understand that if he wanted to remain employed his stories should require less editing! He quickly learned to write "correctly"!
It makes a more sensational story when they have a slant one way or the other.
Because impartial public service broadcasting would be considered anathema in the land of the free.
Best not to have anything to do with any of them. News isn't good for you anyway.
