Bush is not to blame for our financial woes! That's another ridiculous assumption. Jimmy Carter started the downward spiral with his "Community Reinvestment Act". Go ahead and look into it. Racism did not prevent Obama from becoming president so how could it be the cause of dissent now. Yes, there are people who resent having a black man in the oval office, but Obama's policies are undermining the very foundation of the republic and this is why people are against him.

OBAMA hasn't done anything but goon vacation the entire time he was in office. Can anyone please tell me what HE has implemented from the ground up. (please don't tell me he killed Osama Bin Laden) His color mean nothing, the fact he is inexperienced, under qualified, and is a "novelty" at best makes me squeemish to say the least. As far as being a visionary lmao NO NO NO.

It's the same story over and over again. Obama picks up the pieces left by Bush, he can't simply stop doing what is already established by Bush and he is left to improve. The only time this will become apparent is when Obama serves his term in office (however long that will be) and the *next* President will pick up the baton and, just like Obama, he also will have to try to put right what Obama got wrong. Do you see how this goes?

It's the same here in the UK. Lots of years by a Labour Government who were left to pick up the pieces Thatcher had previously left. Labour didn't do a great job of it, but now we have a Conservative/Liberal Government and it starts all over again. And when Labour get back into power (which they will) then they will have to pick up the baton from where the Tories left off *yet again*. Do you see how this goes too?
It's not Obama's fault as he doesn't have the authority nor the know-how to fix the economy.
Just as it wasn't Bush's fault either - incredibly - for the same reasons.

The blame rests fully upon the shoulders of the greedy elite that actually run the country and dictate its policy. Presidents, future and past are just puppets, figureheads for those in power to manipulate and use as a mouthpiece to cover their deeds. And any president who thought differently (such as Lincoln and Kennedy, who tried to issue currency that wasn't attached to debt) found themselves shot in the head, in public.

And many people cannot see or don't understand that.

So it doesn't matter which party wins or which 'character' is elected - the people who have been running the country will continue to run it - and as far as they are concerned - there isn't a darned thing the average American can do to change that - and that includes electing Presidents.

Yeah...if he were white I bet he would have gotten a little more cooperation.

Its not his race. I did't like Clinton either and he's about as white as you can get. So I'm quite tired of everyone trying to play the 'race card'. I'm not sure why no one wants to go back and place blame at the beginning. Does anyone understand that the Fanny Mae Housing Loan Scandal started during the Clinton administration? Does anyone understand the the "No Child Left Behind" was a concept first discussed by the JFK administration. Say what you will, Bush was not the catalyst for this pathetic economy - it simply exploded while he was in office. If you do you homework, If you actually study for yourself and stop believing everything the media feeds you on a silver platter, you find that this has happened all through out history. Most Americans are smart enough and sensible enough to make informed decicisions not ba<x>sed upon black, white, yellow, purple, green or red. Get over the 'race card' already.

I agree with puck61. Obama is more liberal than McGovern. People don't like his policies. Obama's critics helped get black and Hispanic Republicans elected to office.

the people who blame Obama are morons and they can't deal with the fact that the party they are affiliated with is the one that caused the problem. They are hoping people will forget the past entirely and then just blame it all on Obama, then they can feel better about their terrible decision to vote for Bush in the past and feel good about being an idiot and not having to change their outlook. They cannot admit to themselves that it is their views that have gotten us into this situation, so they will do anything to prove it was the set of views they do not like. It is always easier to blame it on someone else than to take responsibility for your own decisions. They voted for Bush who made a lot of selfish, greedy, and violent decisions while in office. They also fully supported those decisions and so they don't want to admit that those decisions caused the negative consequences they did. They feel a lot better being in denial and pretending that the real reason for our problems is something they do not support--a person and decisions THEY do not personally support. They are unable to psychologically come to terms with the fact that the person they supported, beliefs and decisions they supported, led to all the serious problems that are affecting everyone today. Quite simply, it is too hard to admit they are wrong and for them to change.

It is all part of Caesar's scheme: divide white against black, pit neighbor against neighbor. The real blame lies within ourselves, as does the sollution to our troubles. Caesar doesn't want us to believe that; it is his way of taking our liberty by trying to get us to believe that we need to turn to him to solve our troubles.
It is all about power, and the lust for more.
