Why are so many people against the police? All of mankind has corruption through it, why pick on the police?
I hear so many people comment about the f-in police etc etc. But when my husband beat the crap out of me and left me for dead, it was the police that didn't let it happen again to me. A Thank you to all the police that are doing their job. After all, in every job no mater how big or small you can find some who are slackers and cheats. But that doesn't make them all that way.

I've never met a bad cop. As a matter of fact, some have been quite a relief. But, I'm not usually the type to blame someone else when I mess up.

The only time in my life I needed a cop I couldn't get them to drag their fat ***** out of the doughnut shop long enough to fill out a report let alone do anything about the actual criminal who was stealing from me almost weekly.
I bet you wouldn't be so enamored of the cops if you were one of those two women who were ***** and body cavity searched right alongside the highway in Texas by two Texas state troopers (one of them female). Don't believe it, check Google.
And by body cavity, I mean both of them. Both women and both body cavities. Twice. In full view of passing traffic. Without changing exam gloves.

Because its a joke. I'm glad that they were able to help you, and I agree that the police can save lives. But most people just use it jokingly after they do something stupid. For example: "I'm standing in front of a no-parking-zone. **** the police". Its like yolo, only less annoying.

First of all, the police took an oath to uphold the law and not be corrupt, something the average citizen has never done.

I've said this before on here...you only here about the police when something goes wrong. On rare occasions you hear something good, but for the most part, it's all negative. Imagine one day without police and what would happen on that day. Then tell me if you would still be against them.

The job of the police is to own and control the people for corrupt politicians. They rule through robbery, violence, and fear. They also play "white knight" to attack MEN when some "damsel in distress" asks them to do so. There is no equal justice in the police state terrorism. And police murder more men in total than all the criminals combined.

You just explained why people should not generalise. It depends as much on the individual officer as on the government under who they serve. I saw a doco. the other night showing police monstering small traders and taking bribes in an African country. The whole place was festering with corruption crime and would be a place where you couldn't depend on the police for anything.
However, in other places it could be completely different, and I have had positive experiences with police where I live, so again, it depends on circumstances.
We can never generalise. Police is just a name for a function and if used properly can be a positive thing.Like (1)

Police have powers given to them above that of normal people therefore they are held to higher standards because of the serious repercussions of them being corrupt. Innocent people can go to prison if police are corrupt. Innocent people can be gunned down if police are corrupt. If you are on the receiving end of a run in with a corrupt cop you will often end up losing out even if you are a good citizen.
Therefore people reserve their most virulent hatred for corrupt police. They will hate them more then they hate criminals and will be against them and wish for their downfall.Like (1)

I don't mind the police. Although some are ássholes when they pull you over. "Do you know what a stop sign is for?" Yeah, that's why I stopped..I mean..Er, no..enlighten me officer..please.
