were not supose to be a religion were just suppose to believe in God and his word. religion rules and judges. the Bible wants us to love everyone not judge them. i love God. im far from perfect. the Bible says one sin is the same as the other. adulty, lieing, stealing killing. so a christian whos in church who cheats on his wife is just as bad. were suppose to try to follow God, so if someone is gay and loves God and trys to live right, hes just like the rest of us. not all Bible believers condem gays, not all are judgemental. God is love, religion isnt. and even if you dont believe in him or you are out there doing what ever, God still loves you. dont listen to those who claim a religion, even if they are the only Bible you see. you all are special to him. yes the Bible does speak against homosexuality, but he speaks about other things. king david was an adulter and a murderer. all sins are equal, the only reason he was forgiven was he asked and he worshipped God.

Marriage is a right not a privilege. No one should be denied marriage unless they are under the age of 18. (But that is for different reasons). People should not be denied marriage because of race, because the couple is interracial, or because the couple is the same sex.

I really dont understand the big deal about this. These people's decisions really have no impact on our lives (with the exception that it may strengthen the economy and improve our lives). No one is holding a gun to your head and tell you that you have to marry a same sex partner. Get over yourself.

Marriage has been and still is a religous ceramony. Their are those who do not believe in marriage and instead get a civil union, which many states allow for homosexuals. In most religions homosexuality is viewed as ungoddly or unnatural. You do not have to agree with them, but they do not have to agree with you. I think if our society wants to grant civil rights to individuals to have a domestic partner, than it is up to the people to decide if that is the way they want their society to go. I do not agree that any religous institution should be forced to agree with a lifestyle that is considered to be wrong by their own beliefs. Nor do I agree that homosexual couples have the right to force men of religion to perform these marriages. And yes many have sued and taken to court because men of the Bible did not want to do this. You have to find another way around that without taking away someone elses rights.

A majority of divorced Christians believe that gay marriage is a threat to traditional marriage.

In religion, marriage isn't about love - it's about procreation. Gay people can't procreate with each other... (well, they couldn't in the days when religious doctrines were written.. ).

The bible condemns it as unclean and vulgar, the same bible that says many other things are unclean and vulgar, and women are nothing.
They are against gay people maybe because they are afraid of them, or afraid of changes in the world or the bible, or they feel that since the bible says it is wrong they are going against god and for it to be allowed the country would be going against god, they have a misunderstanding and misinterpretation fo the bible....I don't know, those are all the reasons I can think of at the moment.

Most of the religions are very old, when there weren't so many people on earth, and the churches, mosques, and synagogues promoted extensive procreation within marriage to expand the number of church members who would tithe, thus the anti-abortion and anti-birth control laws, the no sex outside marriage rules, and the anti-gay rules. Self-confident religions, like Episcopals and Methodists within the Christian umbrella, have dropped the antiquated rules against gay marriage. The others will follow, but churches evolve slowly; that's not necessarily a bad thing. In this case, yes, but not always.

Look at King David and Johnathan, they were to men who truely loved eachother, but they were not gay. Being gay isn't natural it is physical sin, if you have lust in your heart for someone that is not your wife or husband than you have committed adultry. We were created man and woman to help one another and to procreate, make babies! You cannot get two men or two women together and make a baby, no. Not without a third party which is adultry. It just isn't natural at all! And the bible is clear that homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God, we need to learn to love, We worship God with all of our hearts and all of our soul and all of our strengh right, then we love our spouces like a lover and a brother(I'm a girl) and others like brothers and sisters without a hint of lust. There was a time a long long time ago when I didn't know what to believe or who to love. I have been able to repent fully and to give my husband all of my love and lust. If I can take my lust back from the wrong person and give it to the right person than so can homosexuals give their love and lust to a woman. They choose not to making false claims that they were born that way well I don't believe it cause I had to repent. Now I am pure and have conqured my own lust, I knew that I needed it, I just had to put it in the right places, it's not as hard as people think, self control is a fruit of the Spirit. It sure is without him I couldnt' be convinced enough to repent. But I was and I did. Same is possible for homosexuals. Plus one of the reasons why demons became demons was because some of the angels looked down to earth and saw that the women were beautiful and fabricated human bodies for themselves to become their husbands and their children were giants and bullies God put an end to it and condemned those Angels, God's will is God's will no matter how much people want to desensitize themselves, the bible warns us not to fool ourselves when it comes to this because one day He will have his day. No exceptions.
