Why are there people on here who respond to questions in such an angry & hostile manner?

Alot of cases, the question that was posted has nothing in it for them to be getting all angry or upset over.

Certain people on here seem to make it their life mission to make someone feel bad! That's not right & I won't stand for it any longer!

If I had my way, those people would be banned--- atleast from EP--- but it's not my choice, UNFOURTUNATELY! Maybe if we all banned together against them... LOL! Rated: +3Vote for this!
gryfnn	Posted Jul 1st, 2009 at 6:13PM Maybe feeling angry and hostile is something that most people feel at one time or another---honest expression of how you feel, shouldn't offend anyone--unless they choose to take it personally. Mooo, you are right; most people aren't "nice" all the time. Most people are not "angry and hostile" all the time either. I like this site for the very reason that people are free to express whatever they feel or think--just because I don't agree with them--doesn't mean they should be banned. People who don't agree with me, are often very interesting---and I learn from them. Rated: +3Vote for this!
OldGroupiesNeverD ie	Posted Jul 10th, 2009 at 11:28PM Well, for a start, no one can hear an EPer's tone of voice or see their facial expression, and so almost everybody will say something on this site at sometime or another which another person might take the wrong way. If you believe you will find hostility, you may start to see it in answers that were never intended to be hostile in the first place. Some people are just very poor at communicating their thoughts effectively. Secondly, as Gryfnn said: nobody is nice all the time! If you banned everyone who might cause offense to somebody here... there wouldn't be anyone left! :) Yes, some people take advantage of the answers section in order to give themselves a forum to be jerks, but some people use this section to ask some very hostile questions as well. I've had askers chase me with PMs after I've answered one of their questions, just because they want to start an argument! I try to learn from these people - even if all I learn is to look at my own life and feel relief that I have peace and happiness (and an education). They are simply expressing their own "truths", and they have a right to do so in a free and open debate of ideas. Rated: +3Vote for this!

Look at it like this: could be worse, I could be one of them! That helps me to put things back into perspective. Oh, and don't get swept up in the "game" of trying to reason with these unreasonable people. Can't be done. Atleast not by a mere human. Rated: +1Vote for this!
