They were always a bit smarter.. the difference is.. that it is now possible for them to have a post secondary education... a hundred years ago it would have been scandalous...

And they make up over half of College/Uni students.

"And they make up over half of College/Uni students." This statement (at face value), makes it appear that women are accomplishing something extraordinary with post-secondary academic education. 'Wow! Women are the majority of College / University students? Women must therefore be more intelligent, because more is better, correct?' Well, no. There are many instances, where quality is obviously preferable to quantity; and this is indeed one of them. The bulk of degrees obtained by female graduates, *(starting with the largest faculty), happen to lie in the disciplines of Arts & Humanities (Worthless), Health Sciences (Nursing), and Biological Sciences. They did not include a significant amount of Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science graduates. Arts & Humanities: Classical Studies, English, Film Studies, French Studies, Modern Languages and Literatures, Philosophy, Visual Arts and Women’s Studies and Feminist Research. As you can see above ^^^ the "accomplishment" of women being the majority of students in colleges / universities, is actually padded with flakey disciplines such as "film studies" . Source: Myself. I was previously employed in the Registrars Office where I attended University, and dealt with this information frequently.

For starters IQ tests rarely have significant correlation with real life results. But let's set that aside for a moment and look at the other evidence. Who makes most of the money on this planet when you discount inheritance? Who makes up the top academics in all fields of research? Who dominates politics in virtually every nation? Who submits the lion's share of patents for new inventions? The answer would be men. Now ask yourself the question - are women really smarter than men?

I'm going to Quote this to the next woman that asks me to fix her computer, or her car. Then I'll have to explain that women are "smarter" than men are now, so she should be able to take care of it herself.

    Your claims are laughable.

    Try this experiment:

At the next party you go to, find a group of random females and start talking about the technical specifications of your smart phone, and how hardware components affect the software, and why these things happen. You will see their eyes glaze over after about 6 words into your first sentence.

Now, do the same thing with a group of random males. What will you think will happen here?

You can't use ABC news as a credible data source. Do you know why? Because like the author of this question, they don't cite the sources of their claims either.

It's not a question of intelligence.Women have more opportunities than ever before, and more men feel comfortable stepping into some roles previously consigned to women. I think it's a good thing.

New research is providing an answer to the age-old, delicate question: who is smarter, men or women? A new study has come down on the feminine side of that argument, finding that women now score higher on IQ tests than men. The author of the study, James Flynn, a New Zealand-based researcher known as an IQ testing expert, said that over the past century, women have lagged slightly behind men in IQ testing scores, at times by as much as five points. But now, Flynn said women have closed the gap and even inched ahead in this battle of the intelligent sexes. “Over the last 100 years, everyone in the developing world has been gaining about three IQ points, but women have been gaining faster,”

"The author of the study, James Flynn, a New Zealand-based researcher known as an IQ testing expert, " He has absolutely no academic affiliation, so his work hasn't been peer reviewed. If it hasn't been peer reviewed, and has no academic affiliation, its not even close to being considered valid research.

It favor men before because we kept them in the kitchen. Therefore, their smarts were hidden. It was always present.

Actually, human evolution was responsible for women being kept in the kitchen, not "men" in general.
