    I'm not but i think others are cause they feel it shows emotional weakness on their behalf

    when i was a kid my mom used to put me on the spot and always remind me of how everyone was staring at me.

    That's evil. I'm sorry your mother was ignorant enough of the effect her actions had on you to allow herself to traumatize you like that. Parents have such a huge potential to eff up their kids. But they're just people... :( People make mistakes. -.-

    i dont think it was evil, but it was poor judgement thats for sure. and yes she is a human being and she made mistakes. just like i do. looking back all i can really do is feel more sad than angry. true, our experiences make us who we are. so now i almost never cry in public, and if i do i always feel ashamed. guess that's the "stronger" side of me...haha. what a joke at least i know what not to do with a kid who is sad or crying. thats the only good that came out of that i guess
