If they're in a relationship, then it's a simple case of wanting what you can't have. Don't feel guilty, every human has this built into their brain.

Like when you have no money, but then you pass a cake shop and you feel like you NEED to buy a cake, but you can't. But then you pass the shop when you do have money, and you don't bat an eyelid.

If she / he's not in a relationship, then it's simple nostalgia. You must have felt happy when you were with them, and so naturally you want to be happy again.

Just keep focusing on why you broke up with them, and remind yourself of how horrible the breakup was.
