Not correct. There is nothing in Islam that forbids wearing of bras, and many do.

Some strict sects might interpret it as wrong, but this isn't Islam. It's the usual idiots you get in any group.

In Somalia they're whipping women that they find wearing them. Supposedly because they're following Sharia law.

That's Somalia, not the Muslims world in general. Better question. "Why are women being whipped in Somalia for wearing bras?"
