Very good question. In truth America is not even really blessed by God. If you call the foundation of this nation being built on the backs of slaves, native American genocides and exile, moonshine, and political corruption under the guise of "democracy" being blessed by God then we're all screwed.

He didn't say "may God ONLY bless America." Just because you ask God fro blessings doesn't mean you ask for curses on everyone else. :P

What's wrong with "God bless the world"? Why limit to the United States? After all, "America" means the North, Central, and South American continents.

Best Answer

there is no way possible to limit God's power either way. perhaps asking God's blessings on place gives someone else the chance to ask them for everywhere else. each person has a different role to play. to see this a limitation is to limit you mind to all the other possibilities. ;P

There is no logical connection between his statement and your question. God is perfectly capable of blessing any country God cares to bless. But God also lets you choose what to believe.

I lost faith in George Bush, so whatever he may have said has no relevance in my life today.....

Best Answer

Bush was doing what every country leader would do. He was trying to appeal to everyone so they will trust the government more and therefore everyone will be more dependant on the government. Especially if the **** ever hits the fan and no one has any idea how to take care of themselves. Then they an step in and take full totalitarian control. Not that we aren't far from that now.

As he's a retard, does it matter?

He was praying that God bless his country. That's why he said it. Don't add words to phrases you read or you will definitely not understand them.

Denis Leary noted that he was unaware that God was such a big Green Bay Packers fan, in one routine.

Apparently, God blesses who WE like God to bless, in practice.

Best Answer

No for two reasons:

1) Bush is an idiot

2) There is no rational reason to believe in "God"

Best Answer

George Bush did not say "Only bless America and not other nations." He might think other leaders would ask for god's blessing on their country.

Best Answer

George Bush said 'and may God continue to bless America" because his speech writers included it in his speech. They included it in his speech because polls at the time indicated that the majority of US citizens would approve.

Should you believe God only blesses America. No, you shouldn't.

You shouldn't believe in a God.

I think it stems from the fact that he was addressing an American audience

It's being a patriot to the country. That's why he didn't add the little "only" word in the sentence, that'd be just trying to act like a supremacist.

Best Answer

No because that whole family are worst that satan.

Best Answer

Because we were founded under God...look at our coins. Many are trying to erase God, and that's the problem of today. Disintegration of the family is the cause, everyone wants what they want and not what they need.
