I don't think it was his plan, but his case (a preacher executed for political reasons ) was used by people that needed to found a new cult. The sacrifice-motif was very common in those days. What is amazing is people that still think the sacrifice of an idol is a good start for any form of morality.

A happy ending wouldn't of left Christians feeling ashamed to be born and thus skipped the effective destruction of self worth that is crucial to Christianity-you were so wicked god had to kill his own damn son.

Best Answer

He died to humble himself and so our sins would be forgiven. He also died so he knows how we feel when we are in pain. He went through more pain then we would ever feel so we can always talk to Him about anything since he knows how we feel. But the death would not have mattered if he did not resurect. There are many other reasons. Look it up in the CCC, it explains everything

What did he fall for? History? Whether you have faith in that son of Gôd hoo-ha or (preferably) not, you can't argue with proven fact!

You think it's proven fact that this Jesus was an actual person?

Jesus did not have to die. It's even documented it was a choice by man.

I don't think he died at all. The ancient texts say that bar abba was released in the balcony scene. This was intentionally changed to Barabbas. The first (bar abba) is a desc<x>riptive term, not a name.

The "term" bar abba means son of (bar) Daddy (abba) - as opposed to the more reverential phrase son of the Father taught by Christianity. As Jesus spoke of his abba as being loving, giving him ALL that he asked for, it would not be inappropriate to translate it as son of the Sugar Daddy.

Jesus said to love your enemies. This wasn't a "commandment". It was an instruction on how to be safe. Love (peace) is a POWER - and a potent one at that. I've tried it in an imminent death situation and again in an imminent rape situation. It works.

Jesus never used the term "repent". That word was invented in the KJV Bible (17th century). He used the words metanoeo and metamellemai. These mean "change your way of thinking" and "change your way of emoting" respectively. There is a reason for that.

Jesus spoke of Gehenna rather than hell. Gehenna is a garbage dump outside of Jerusalem's city gates where those with wretched lives eeked out a miserable existence.

Jesus didn't believe in sin. He spoke of "hamartia" which means acting in ignorance causing harm to self and/or others.

Jesus said that ALL that you ask for is given, therefore he is saying that if you don't like what you have, look at what you are asking for with your thoughts and emotions - that precede actions.

Put it all together. If your life is wretched, learn new things. This allows you to change the way you are thinking and emoting. With that, you ask for new things. You are powerful beings - gods. The power (kingdom of heaven/Sophia) is within you. It is also very wise - which is why it was called sophia in the Nag Hammadi Texts credited to Jesus.

The more powerful message was that Jesus had himself arrested so that he could show a whole city of Jews (there for Passover) that they are so powerful that even though they thought he stood a 100% chance of being crucified, he was released unharmed because he loved those who could harm him.

Jesus was 2,000 years ahead of his time. Only now does an interpretation of evidence in quantum mechanics say exactly the same thing. Those who call themselves "New Age" manifest things as part of their day to day lives. We really are powerful.

Unfortunately, this message isn't profitable. Take away money and the church fails.
