Resolved Question

Why did my girlfriend of 3.5 years break up with me today and start dating someone new the same day?

Why does it seem that when a woman has a good man she breaks his heart?

I cook, clean, attentive, laugh at her corny jokes, help her study and everything.....I try to make her happy so much that it makes me sad sometimes...

I need closure ASAP!!!!!!

hate to be the bearer of bad news but here's the truth. she was cheating on you with dude. that's why. she left you for him because he probably gave her an ultimatum so she realized she either had to quit him or quit you. i'm sure she prolly didn't orginally plan to break your heart or be a b*tch but it happened that way. ideally these things work out nice & clean. you grow apart. you move. you decide you want space. whatever. the reality is, its more often than not messy. they cheat. they roll out. they take all your sh*t. they decide they need to be "free" (whatever that means). they want to be in an "open" relationship or "see" other people. its life man. normally i say if life gets hard f*ck it but since your a guy, rub that sh*t out.

I'm sorry to hear that. Some people have no heart. Find someone who will do/feel the same for you.

ranag is correct - some things in life don't have answers. You can't make another person feel or think in a certain way. You can't make someone love you.

It sounds like you did all the right things in showing your love and support. Don't be afraid to do that again, but be careful of who you give your heart to - next time make sure it is someone worthy of you and someone who respects you.

Don't get involved with someone on the rebound. Heal yourself. Take care of you the way you took care of her, and when the time is right for you get back in the arena, go for it.

Thats really bad, ignore her and do not let you down that due to some one flirty you should not destroy or disturb your life. Life is big and beautiful there are many nice women waiting for you to care and love you for ever.

Best of luck

Could be any number of reasons, but that doesn't matter, its over now and you don't want to get back with somebody who started dating someone else the same day she dumped you.

I hate to say it, but girls and guys like this are everywhere - the only thing they respect is someone willing and able enough to hit back hard enough to make it hurt.

My suggestion would be to get on with your life, and not let it bother you as best as you can... Perhaps you can at least find some satisfaction in not allowing her to make you feel terrible - that is a power that nobody should be granted, no matter the situation...

If you think she just met him then that is part of the problem...

Take everyone's advice here. Go out to the bar, go mountain biking, etc. with any good buddies you have. Get more involved in your work, family, hobbies, even take up a new hobby, possibly something physically active such as jiu jitsu, visiting the gym regularly, or something else. This is the time for you to recover. Do the things you weren't able to do so much while you were in this relationship. Go out and do the things that YOU love to do. Once you are even more physically fit, you'll have more self confidence to go out and meet other women. Doing the things that YOU love and couldn't do will take your mind off her(hopefully) and will make you carry a big smile on your face. Just stay optimistic and later on down the road, you'll pass your lonely ex at the mall with your arm around a wonderful and deserving girl and you'll do nothing more than laugh and kiss your new gf on the cheek.

Hang in there brother, things can only get better.

hey thank god she broke up with you , she could have been
enjoying the cooking and cleaning and seeing someone else on the side.
say thanks, now you've got the opportunity to find someone who's better for you
by the way- trying to make someone else happy to the point it makes you sad is not cool.
looks like you need a break from that- how about making YOURSELF happy for a change?

she sounds like an idiot and to have started dating someone else so quickly, i wonder if she didn't have that person waiting in the wings? at any rate, you deserve so much better.

a lot of women stay with a man for the simple reason he is a good man.
but many women want to be in love, feel passion, romance. and if another man make them feel like this, they will leave the good guy, specially if there are no kids involved.
it hurts and it is unfair, but that is the way it is.

This sucks... you seem like you were really taking care of her. I feel your pain. I hope you find someone after you heal from this that will be just as into making you happy as you seem to want to make her. Sorry you had to go through that. I'm with you. Women like her give good women bad names.

I'm sorry you had to experience that =/ my boyfriend of a year broke up with me only to immediately start dating another chick..

It's not necessarily cheating, it could be that they had been talking for a while, which is also pretty cold comfort.. As for closure, all you can do is ask for an explanation, and if she values things and still appreciates you she should damn well answer. If not.. I'm sorry again, but this way you know that she is definitely not worth it and it's her loss. Like others have said, I would take also take this time to think and do things that make you happy.

Take care, and hope you find the closure you're looking for.

Apparently to her, the relationship has long been over for some reason. She's obviously just kept you around until she found someone new to replace you. IMO she should have communicated to you what was wrong and that she wasn't happy so the two of you could work things out, but obviously she didn't do that!

There ARE women out there who will love and appreciate you and want to keep you around... she was just not one of them, thus the wrong woman for you anyway.

Leave this girl behind, the "right one" is out there somewhere and now you are free to go find her!

:)

She was done with you long before she broke up with you. If you look back you'll probably notice all kinds of subtile hints you never picked up on.
