OK, why are YOU assuming ALL adults think all teens are bad ? Because we don't and you don't know us.

Not all adults think teens are bad, just like not all teens think that all adults buy into the stereotype about the irresponsibility of teens. I think that a lot of adults are just remembering how hard it was to be a teenager, and some are also recalling the trouble they might have gotten into when they were teens. It's just a stereotype- the rebellious teen.

Stereotypes. if a few teenagers are bad, some believe we all are bad and disrespectful.

You'll think the same about teens when you are an adult.

Oh am definitely not defending adults by any means. It just basically goes like this: if you know how to do something and you look at someone who doesn't know how to do the same thing, it's difficult for anyone to go "how can they not figure that out?" Then comes the stereotypes, all teens are bad, all adults just don't get it and all old people are ewww.

It seems to be a culture thing. My parents hated rock and roll in the fifties, and I bet their parents hated what they listened to before that. Clothing, hair styles, language, education and attitude form many of the opinions. One of my local newspapers often prints stories of local teens, who with better education and opportunities exceed the accomplishments of their parents. The bad teens get mentioned a lot and carry on their tradition. The good ones hope to change that image, and I hope they truly succeed and not become the generation we became.

Not all adults think that, and those who do probably don't spend much time with them.

Believe it or not we were teens, at one time, and we do remember the things we did.

The worst grown ups are people who forgot they were ever teens, and make you suffer because they had to, that isn't fair.

Because Adults remember what A-Holes they were as teens, if they're honest with themselves, and figure things haven't changed all that much

This question is hypocritical . You whine about teens being generalized yet you just generalized adults .
