Why do all the fight scenes have matrix moves in them?

WARNING: if you haven't seen underworld rise of the lycans look away.

i just got around to seeing said movie tonight. during the fight scene between the slutty vampire and her dad they did the stop slowly in mid-air matrix thing. i know thiervampires but there were "vampire" like moves. the move i'm speaking of was PURELY MATRIX. i've seen them elsewhere and i'm wondering why? i think it takes away from it the fighting scene, for me anyway....

Yup, that stuff is overdone. "300" is by far the most ridiculously overdone slow-mo I've ever seen. South Park did a hilarious parody of "300" in an episode about a lesbian bar called "Les Bos".

Movies are running out of original ideas including fight scenes.

I would have liked to have seen the south park, i bet it was good - the one that really bores me is when they've been knocking seven bells of **** out of each other for ten minutes and then one of them lands a punch that sends the other one 50 yards across the room. NO! If you possessed the supernatural martial art capacity to do that then surely your fist would just obliterate their head and he would just fall over....
It is very, very annoying to catch that same scene 15 times a night.
