Why do Americans here assume that everyone here is from America?

Perhaps you shouldn't answer the questions that you don't have interest in. Who cares where you are from?? We are all people. If you want us all to know where you are from, post it.

They often assume that everything revolves around the states I find. What really gets me is the assumption that everyone wants to live there and that we all think it's the greatest place in the world.

I never assume anything. And I prefer that state of insanity.

But seriously, I think sites like this help us all to see that things are different in different countries - the American way is not necessarily the best, its just one way out of many.
I have always tried to think on a wider scale than just England - we're a small country after all.
was chatting to an American girl in NZ earlier this year; she said she was envious of us in Europe as we had "so many other countries nearby".
I think all the asker wants is for evrryone on here to remember that whilst EP may be American, the members are from around the world.

WHY DO YOU ASSUME THAT ALL AMERICANS ASSUME? I don't assume, I KNOW that there are people here from all over the place. Don't be a hypocrite.

In America we are so use to everyone being a forginer we just assume all forgieners are Americans. Is that not logical. Jokeing folks, put down the rotten vegies.

Jingoism, narcissism, vanity, pride, a lack of education, a lack of interest, that we just finished eight years with an isolationist president. And the fact that EP is an American company and the board is hosted by Americans might lead to the faulty assumption that someone is from America.

EP is an American company and majority of the people here are American. :)
