Evolutionary speaking, girls need to be choosy when picking the a mate. This means in the early stages of dating / relationships, girls actually have all the power. I don't know if they always realize this though.

Best Answer

They do when they hit 40.

Girls do pursue guys now, but not too long ago, it was tradition for a guy to pursue a woman first. The whole "Women should be seen, not heard" faux pas.

Best Answer

because women are only taught to go to the highest bidder

I thought they did? Once they become single mothers, no? But on a serious note, to my understanding, guys have lower standards and will find more potential in a relationship than a woman since us guys don't care at all if they're rich or poor, smart or dumb, etc. etc.<br />

Even though women find us to be shallow, they're very much the same (or worst), but different. What I mean is that, if you're a guy and you're not obsessed with money or some kind of power, you're a nobody or at least a simple friend. Even if we have the potential to change drastically to provide and such, we're nobody unless we're already successful. Ever wondered why it's usually an old and ugly rich man having a young, beautiful woman, but not the other way around? I believe women are more shallow than us, just differently.
