Video games address various needs in boys and males, the sense of adventure, primary instincts, being a frontrunner, a trailblazer, achieving things others are not able to. Because it offers them a chance to escape into a world where they can live out their fantasies, Spiderman, the action hero, the military man. They are a lot of fun and often you are able to progress as you go so you get hooked on wanting to make it to that next level. With new multiplayer games there's this whole new competive side to it, where you just want to dominate your opponent. It makes sense as men by nature are warlike and like to compete and rule.
