    They actually do. I had the chance to play with some lion cubs and they were so funny and they purr so loud. They were just gigantic kittens. I was surprised to find out how much they were like regular kittens. Super-sized kittens.

    One reason cats purr is to comfort themselves, but researchers don't know why they purr in every case.

    Cheetahs don't purr.

    I was just reading that. Apparently, the decibels emanating from the purring also aids their immune system to heal osteo problems.

    They certainly do purr. When I was young I went to a Roman zoo in the south of France. the big cats would lie in the sun and you could hear them purring ftom at least 15 feet away.
