You obviously upset about this subject. I understand your pain my dad is an alcoholic.

But its not about the actual disease is it, its about what the person does to hurt others.

Its terrible i know that children seem to get the brunt of it or the spouse. Its just one of these things that lots of people go through i'm sorry to say.

luckypickle	Posted Jul 12th, 2009 at 4:35PM the same reason junkies do. and cutters. self medicating. they/we/I have problems that need to be worked out and that's no reason to not have children. as long as the children are treated well and put before the "fix" it shouldn't matter to anyone else. LawRaJayne	Posted Jul 12th, 2009 at 4:32PM They hide behind drink because it's the only way they know how. they depend on drink to cover up their emotions - to forget about what's happened, or whatever's occuring in their lives. some don't turn to alcohol until they've already had children. but other than that, there is no actual reason.. they spend their lives drunk.. they wudnt know the reasons behind it either.
