Girls still get body hair because the vast majority of females in the human species "don't got time (or resources) for vanity" and go au naturale. Plus, body hair serves many distinct physiological purposes.

Biologically, areas of thicker hair growth on humans underarms and genitals are areas of scent-releasing organs called apocrine glands. The odorous chemicals that the glands emit are unique to every person and may help attract members of the opposite sex, like pheromones in other animals. The hair in those areas traps and amplifies those odors, like loudspeakers that amplify your body's chemical functions of attraction.

Body hair also serves as an augmentation of tactile sensation. Hairs on the skin raise up in order to help the brain detect and perceive the presence/proximity of a tactile stimulation.

I wish I could rate this up like 50 times... And I'm going to add that body hair serves the added purpose of being unbearably attractive.
