I can't answer for every reason, but the big dump I made was because I'd been going out with her for a week. On her second visit to my house, she started telling me about pictures she wanted me to buy, and she wanted me to paint her, and then she sprayed her perfume all over my closet full of clothes. Too much, way too fast. I got spooked, and that was it for us. Looking back on it, I wish I'd handled it a bit different, because she was crazy wild in bed.

I'm assuming the two of you went out for just a couple of weeks? I don't think it's not about the fact that he didn't like you at all, I just think that he got to know you and you weren't the one he was really looking for (I am not saying there's something wrong with you, but you weren't right for each other).
I am no Dr. Phil to give you a good answer, but just to tell you that in the future just don't invest your feelings and emotions so fast into the guy. Rather be a bit skeptical and play the field.
And true that, not only guys do that. Women do it as much as guys and mostly because you try to be nice to the other person and hope that something will change and then you just want to get quickly out.
