guys do throw themselves at girls they just show it differently. They get hostile, they get competitive if there other males, or they simply get stupid and nervous when they are near (sometimes just the thought) of one that they feel is for them.
I think one of the reasons is that females are generally social, and guys are generally action oriented.

There are probably guys who do throw themselves at girls. If they are in love with them enough. In opera it seems like the men are always throwing themselves at the women. :)

I throw myself at girls and then they throw me back.
I think women feel that they can do that where as most men know they can not do that and get away with it.
That is why I throw myself at all the women on EP to keep them away from me.
