Either you were raised using some sort of punishment or guilt, which instilled in you the notion "When I do bad, I should feel bad", or you are just very conscious and self aware. Maybe both, maybe something else.

Because..... I am presuming when you were younger...
You were rewarded when you were good, shared ect...
But when you hurt others.. you were chasticed ect...
It shouldn't really be a problem... unless of course..
You were punished and blamed for accidents aswell.
Then in your adult life... you may feel guilty for things that are not your fault or are inevitable.Like (1)

Because you have empathy. It is a good thing as long as you don't let it keep you from being honest with your own feelings.
