Resolved Question

Why do I even care?

My husband, which most of you know, is about to become my ex-husband soon....was admitted into the hospital last night. He "couldn't breathe". He has a host of medical problems. Anyway, they found fluid on his right lung, and "saw something on the xray", so they have ordered a lung scan, and a heart scan. They admitted him to the cardiac unit.

My daughter is in a different hospital, for a stem cell rescue. I am not going to visit my husband, because I have to be there for my daughter every day, and can't risk getting anything, and taking it to her.

I don't know why I care about my husband.I know I DO NOT love him , after the years of abuse, and his not showing he cares about me, and has blatantly told me he doesn't care for my kids. He eats McDonalds everyday, and all he drinks is diet coke, with stage 4 kidney failure.

My question is...I should hate him, after all he's done. Why do I even give a rat's behind?

Because once upon a time you loved him, and however much you hate him now, deep down you will remember those feelings, meaning you will still care. however you are now in a position where you cannot be emotionally used or controlled by these feelings, so you can still be there for your daughter. Be proud, you are in a good place now, caring for him doesnt make you weak or stupid, it makes you human. x

Because you love him. Love covers all. You may not like him, but you care.

You're human, it's in your nature to care for those that are helpless and in need. You care while he doesn't which makes you the bigger person.

Oh, and If he's hitting you I definetly recomend droping the peice of ****.

I suppose you shouldn't, but I can see why you might still have those feelings deep down. It is difficult to ever completely lose them for someone you once cared a great deal about.

I agree with Sam3.

You can hate him all you like, but you should atleast care about how he is for your daughter's sake. How do you think she is going to handle recovery without her parents being unified? Atleast be decent with each other for her sake!

Because you're a better person than him, plain and simple. Just because you're getting divorced, it doesn't mean he hasn't been a big part of your life - even if he is a total $#%*(#$. Not only do you have a conscience, but you have a heart - you care about people, whether they deserve it or not.

I wouldn't stress about it too much - the most important thing is that you're putting your daughter first, and trying to get on with your life. Stay strong xxx

You should care because he is the father of your child. why not care, If you hate him then you hate half of the blood that runs through your daughter's veins.

you two have a history. even though it may not be the happiest of ones, you still made a decision to marry him, and the two of you made and brought another child into this world. you may not love him, but you care because of all you've been through...
