Same as being drunk....Lack of oxygen to the brain...try sleeping with your windows open.

You may nt be drinking enough water which would equal a hangover as they cause dehydration,

Could be that. I ate a banana right before going to sleep and did not drink any water.

Could be from not enough sleep.

It could also be medications (if you take any), not enough sleep, or sleep apnea.

I take no meds. But I don't sleep much at all any more. That could be the problem.

I know what it's like. I only sleep around 2 hours at a time so I know the feeling. I also sleepwalk at times which is scary because I've done things while sleepwalking that could have harmed my family.

Because you don't drink and are equating a headrush with inebriation?

yeah... vices take a lifetime of practice to perfect and the payoff is questionable at best for many. Hell lies in that direction next to the suggestion of heaven the euphoria can provide and many an intrepid psychonaut has exhausted their capacity to control their outlook and immersed themselves into subjective depression here still so far from the soul-depths they set out to plumb with such aplomb. Don't hold conversation with your subconscious as your not likely going to care much for what it has to say.

It's normal because when you sleep your brain shut down all the body activity to rest and when you wake up your brain and your body reactive but they need sometime like a car it doesn't start moving fast right away

It's usually just the groggynes that every one has to deal with, but like the other answers it could be blood pressure or the oxegen levels of your room
