Why do I prefer not to see my partner, if i know im not going to spend more time with them then i would like?

as an example. Its a saturday night, he's feeling quite tired. We plan on seeing a movie, but he says after the movie he will go straight home he is tired. But I would like to spend more time with him. And I don't feel satisfied with that. I would prefer to hang out with him after and see him longer. So I just decide to do it another night and cancel. And rather not see him, knowing I will be disapointed. I cancel to avoid disapointment. But why do I do that?welcome=t4

Because you are smart. Does this guy do this very often? If so, I'd probably be thinking about breaking it off if I were you. Are you sure he goes home by himself ....? IDK but it sounds messed up to me.

Try finding something to do that doesn't involve the two of you sitting next to each other, staring at a screen for 2 hours, not interacting with each other.

You are being selfish...Stop that right now....Or you will lose him......I mean how would you feel if he said that he wanted sex....and if you did not want it at that time...He says...Alright..Call me when you do....
