Well no matter what the solution, the best thing to do is blame a political party for it.
thats not the full picture. The people that think I owe some degenerate or someone playing the mistreated color card a free ride GIVE them one. The only way the acts survive, is because OTHERS that oppose the said housing encumbers it, by limiting funds, or attaching charges.
incase your talking about private residence quality build and materials heres the particulars:
We are using LIMITED resources
envoronmentals only attack is to cause extra costs
Government will tax ANYTHING your guaranteed to need, so they can get paid.
A few basic particulars also have to be met so that someone ELSE who enters your home is not killed or injured by collapse or falling through a hole in the floor.
I agree, a man should be able to buy a box of nails, build himself a FREE UNTAXED home out of free pallets, and cover the outer shell with free materials.
The problem is that our leaders have to get paid SOMEHOW, and we also have a long waiting list of free rides waiting to move into free ride housing.
The higher housing prices are, the higher property tax revenue is. And builders make more profit selling expensive houses than cheap houses.
That way it sounds like they're doing you a favor by offering "affordable housing".
Many years ago, Aspen, Colorado had an affordable housing problem. It was full of rich people and the people who actually worked for a living couldn't afford to live there. So they built trailer parks many miles away and bussed workers in, rather than build and control apartment buildings with rent limits.
My neighborhood is like that now. People are losing their houses due to foreclosures, the 'burbs are full of empty houses, and rents around here have gone up 33% in the last 2 years, 5% just in January, and you can't find an apartment. Consequently it's nothing but successful young people around here. And every time an apartment opens up in this building you know someone lost their job. And it rents 10 minutes later at a couple hundred $$ more.
We do need affordable housing. People's homes shouldn't be victims of the Great American Greed Game.
Right - they want the people that can actually buy a home to struggle while the freeloaders that stink up a good area of the neighborhood get Section 8 Housing at low cost - so they can live where you live without the bother of working hard or working for it.
" if you live in one of the richest countries in the world why do most ppl struggle to live there "
Ya that basically means the cost of living is higher than the amount of money ppl make to survive
The people who set those rules have plenty of money and little real compassion for those at the bottom.
They only want to be in the government to line their own pockets and don't really care about the people who voted for them.
