Why does anyone lie? Usually it is because there is something to be gained by lying or because lying is an easy way out of a situation.

they know you and are trying to protect themselves and their relationship. the lie covers the bad behaviour and you will still love them. they don't believe in unconditional love because love is so fragile oftentimes. need lots of building in a relationship to be able to be truthful all the time. must be solid.

I am female, but i encounter this problem if you tell them the truth.
they go off. Go figure the truth hurts. I have met several guys like that,
they can not handle the truth, which often indicates they are hiding something.
They lie to get into your ****. Personally i have never done that. I am straight
forward to the point, and some people are intimidated by that.
Realistically its bad to be honest, its bad to lie honestly go figure, i can
still not figure that out, except the biggest faulty human emotion
is denial in who they really are. Truth hurts.

1. hurting the person lied to
2. having an argument
3. losing the person lied to

Sweetie, just thank God that he given you the spirit of discernment, and if can let them know you forgive that individual, whether male or female. Pray that God show His will for they life and give them GRACE and TRUTH. You will go crazy trying to understand the mind of another and how or why it tick...Let them know you forgive them and be a person of love regardless of their sinful nature. Mainly don't stop trusty, because the next person might be God's sent.
