Some people like to argue for the sake of arguing. Nothing is going to be resolved, it's just that they like arguing. I personally do not desire to shove my opinion down anyone's throat

This applies with equal force to mental illness. It's a pretty stupid question, actually.

Because faith has negative consequences. When people stop thinking critically they tend to do pretty thoughtless things such as: The Crusades, Holocaust (secular faith), Stalin, human sacrifice (Aztecs), animal sacrifice (Jews), homophobia, 9-11, and many smaller but accumulative things such as praying for people instead of taking action.

Then there are clueless Brave New World people who wonder why things like religion matter and why can't we just all be a wonderful plurality, get along, and "just be nice". They tend to ask why even think at all when there are movies.

The majority of atheists argue more about religion than people with a certain belief system do. This question applies to all.

It is usually in response to religious persons spreading the word when no one wants to hear it. As I tell anyone, "If I want religion, I will go to church."

Because some people have religions that require that they "spread the word."

People who keep their faith private and personal seldom get into arguments about it.

Religion, Science, Philosophy.... are branches of learning
and not any authorities that prevent people from living happily.
Priests, Philosophers, Scientists... have no rights or
authorities to tell human beings how to live. They can express
their opinions on various matters of life, and individuals
themselves decide how to conduct their lives.
As for social order, that is the job of various branches of
the governmental institutions, established by the people
    and for the people.
This requires physical, human and divine education
to modify our life, based on individual rights and liberties
    written in their constitutions.
Otherwise, our world will remain for some more time
as an unjust and outdated world - except those who learn
    to make themselves free.

Thats a good one...for the people by the people.....I don't remember ever having the opportunity to vote on any of the laws that the government imposes on it's citizens. In fact Federal law has already said that they will arrest you for posession of marijuana even if you are in a state that it is legalized because it's a federal law. lmao...for the people by the people
