    Questions may be asked for two reasons. Either to know from others or to test others exhibiting their own knowledge to others. In either case their own reply may not be expected.

    It may not be expected, but if a respondant answered the question in a meaningful way, and not just an ofhanded way, then followed it by asking the questioner's opinion, why wouldn't it be fair game to expect an answer?

    If the question was one seeking information, I would agree with you, however, many times they're opinion or voyeristic.

    Lol! I don't answer, if they don't. Usually whenever I ask a question, I answer it myself in the details.

    If it is a personal question, they shouldn't be afraid to answer it if it gets directed towards them. Only fair.

    But you know... moral codes and principles nowadays..
