I asked this before but I want to ask it when it is not 3 am in the morning. Basically, I've seen a lot of people claim ridiculous things like ESP, talking to the dead, being able to move things with their mind, psychic vampire, etc. My own friends claimed to be empaths back in high school.

I read recently that its often unrecognised minor mental conditions. Its easy for some people to attribute mild symptoms to some kind of phenomenon. And because the symptoms aren't significant enough to interfere in their lives they never get diagnosed and they dont suspect that they might be mentally ill.<br />

Assuming they're being honest of course

It's hard to tell. One friend thought he was an empath but I think that's because the other one said he was. The other one was really, really darn good at listening and helping people with their problems, but he's dropped the empath stuff now that he's in his mid-twenties.

I swear i have ESP xD I don't know. Probably because teenagers don't have enough knowledge to know that sometimes weird things happen randomly. They may just be obsessed with wanting to be different as well.

That is true. Plus many people remember their "rights" and not the "wrongs." I'll remember the rights when I guess who is calling me but not the wrongs.

There are a lot of weird things that happen that we have a hard time explaining, Dejavu for example. Kids have been around fiction and fantasy their whole lives so it makes sense that they would come up with fantastic explantions for things they don't understand. We all have delusional explanations for things we don't understand. I find all the negative explanations on hear a bit funny because people respond as if these kids are stupid and crazy and they have it all figured out :)

Actually deja vu can be explained through psychology. It's a survival instinct.

And what ability is that?
Also, if someone does have psychic powers they should take the one test to prove it. They don't have to have their information published and they'd earn 1 million dollars. Many have tried but none have succeeded in proving they have powers.
Oh, and as Penn and Teller pointed out, they could donate the money to a good cause instead of keeping it.

Best Answer

why take a test.... what do they need to prove? do you know that some people still dispute the existence of felt empathy... just because they have lost the ability themselves? penn and teller are illusionists and entertainers... what do they have to do with psychic ability? and where does money come into it? it's not a party trick and as a general principle... money is a destructive force.
