Why do people in my school say that I have a Scottish accent when I speak English?

I am Swedish and don't even watch TV shows from Scotland.

    Your English is probably fluent enough that you sound like you might be a native speaker. But, your accent is probably foreign enough that they try to attach it a different culture.

    Do you have a Scottish heritage? Yer nae far awa in Sweden! You should come visit, if u already sound Scottish then you will pick up the accent nae problem, that would be cool
