Because they think they're doing you a favor. They are really being rude and nosy, but they think they're being really nice. It's a combination of that and they like the feeling they get from telling someone else what to do because it makes them feel like they are smarter and more righteous than you are.

Maybe it's because we're concerned about your soul being sent to eternal damnation. You may not believe there is such a place as heaven or hell in this life, but I have got to tell you that you are making the biggest mistake by speculating that like you in all your days while you are still breathin You can continue to make a joke out of this now, however, none of us knows if we are going to wake up the next morning and if you are not saved if or when that happens, I don't even want to think about the price you will have to pay, let alone discuss it.

actually they are doing you a favor..if they have a heart and they believe in Jesus then they don't want you to go to be with the Devil when you die..they want you to have peace..there are people out there who care about their neighbor just as they do themself..afterall, that is what the savior asked us to do..go figure..we do care..who'd a thought!!

5 minutes and your complaining? You have to ask yourself why or what would irritate you so much that it would bother you for this much length of time, for you to be thinking about it this long. For it to bother you in such a way that it was on your mind this long, for you to come here on EP and post a question trying to find answers or justify you rejecting it really. The answer to YOUR question being, because Jesus cares thats' why.

Seriously, why does it bother you? Don't you think it is conflicting with your spirit? Your spirit is telling you to reject it cause you are not of the same spirit.

If a buddha came up to you would you do the same thing? How about hindu, pagan, satanist, or mormon? I believe your spirit would feel less threatened by these other man-made religions.
