It has to do with how men and women are raised. Women are taught from an early age they need to 'get a man' and that their worth is derived from having a husband and kids. Men are taught differently and encouraged to play the field before settling down. We're not trained to dream of the fairytale wedding and the perfect day and all that.<br />
And there are issues in both sides. Fairytale romances are make believe, and rushing into marriage can be a huge mistake. And men are taught to treat women lie ob<x>jects to be used and discarded until you find one you want to keep - also very bad. We need to respect each other and most importantly, you can't bind yourself to someone for life a too early. There's no point in it anymore. We don't have the social pressures to force marriages to work.
Here's the deal. When a woman tell other women she is getting married all the women cheer and get excited. When a man tells other men he is getting married there is awkward silence followed by darting eyes looking for the right answer from anyone else until one brave guy says 'That's great man' and all the others will quickly chime in their congratulations. Why? Because a womans success is measured by her man/family and a mans success is measured by his financial means and sexual prowess and a marriage isn't good for that. Not saying I like the rules, but that's the way it is.
You are the rare type that doesn't care enough that you actually do care enough. Kudos for having a spine. Hopefully you have a heart...you know, to not rub it in after the fact.
the reason i believe is because marriage has to deal with a lot of money being spent, and having children involves a lot of responsibility which leads to needing to have money all the time, and most women just pop the question right away which scares them as well.
Because some married men still sleep with there ex's.
Maybe the same reason I would run..Lol..It's a lame topic..
because it's scary.
I already had 2 marriages end in disaster. I really don't want to be a 3 time loser.
they fear of committing and hate the thought that it may mean they will have to be with and sleep with the one woman for the rest of their life.....
they don't want that type of commitment. simple.
