Why do some people feel naked without their cell phones?

It's because people are more insecure now than ever making them feel alone. Their cellular device keeps them in touch with the people they know or want to know. Not just that, but cellular phones are not only being used for placing phone calls now. They're mp3 players, cameras, flashlights, etc. etc. It's a permanent trend and one day it'll probably kill us all.

   i usually forget where i put mine so i dont always have it on with me..

   i dont feel naked b/c i have to stay constantly connected (in fact i rarely ever use my cell phone)... i feel more vulnerable without my cell phone... i know it wouldnt help in every emergency situation (like say a car wreck... maybe it gets smashed up in the wreck & its useless or you're knocked out cold & cant call for help anyway) but its sure to come in handy in alot of emergency situations

   I only feel naked when I've got no clothes on. And I like it!
   
   My cellphone... well, I do carry it around when I'm out, as its the contact method I give all official / business people who may want to contact me, although I have a landline answerphone as well - but that was not always the case.

   Anything you get used to having with you at all times will make you feel that way if you dont have it.
   
   Ask anyone married to take off their wedding ring and see how it feels, or maybe a watch? or how about a man and his wallet..

   Because our world has become a place where we need to know things immediately... we need instant gratification.
   
   Because we have become workaholics and be on the phone constantly.
   
   Because we are told by advertisers that we NEED to have phones, we need to have phones that we can listen to music, and download stuff off of the internet.. WE NEED TO!
   
   Because we cannot be without one incase our friends or family NEED to call us to chat while we our out and then we can talk REAL LOUD so everyone can hear our convos as we walk about the store or are in a movie theatre. Or better yet, church!
   
   Because we NEED to chat as we drive about town, after all, we don't need to pay attention to the road while we drive!
   
   Because we just NEED to have tons of stuff!!
