I only enjoy a civil debate. I like to hear other people's perspective. If you don't understand both sides than you really don't even understand your own side. Also it's just fun to talk to people about more than how was your day.

Debating is awesome. It is a bit like fighting, but with words, and it requires the same strategies, cunningness and deceit a real war would. I don't know for most people, but I instinctually like debates, when I'm having a rational argument with someone I feel I'm in my natural habitat.

I enjoy discussions on subjects that include conflicting opinions. It requires thought and research and makes you think about why you feel the way you do about a certain subject.

It gives you a sense of accomplishment in ways you can't receive in everyday life.
