Because they are idiots.
I have a tremendous amount of respect for someone who comes in each day and works an honest job that barely is enough to get by on, has the guts to take abuse from idiots at the window making fun of them than respecting any thug with a new car with shiny rims or any attorney who lies and cheats every minute of everyday bilking his clients with deceit yet lives in his gated community, drives a sports car and displays his community awards.

IT'S TIME WE KNOW WHO IN SOCIETY REALLY DESERVES RESPECT.

Bealboy	Posted Oct 19th, 2009 at 6:37PM Interesting question. The stereotype is that such a person is unintelligent, and ill-educated, and of a low social class. The uniforms don't help, nor the customers at such places. Undoubtedly some of the younger staff do look lacking in intelligence, moronic, even. But you never know till you get to know them, and mostly you don't ever do so. Rated: +2Vote for this!

We have went from appreciative people to self-important *******. And whats worse, we wonder why (and get pissy about) these people, who work these jobs, sometimes tend to be jaded with their occupations. Perhaps, if they were treated like the human beings that they are, then they wouldn't despise the general public. Rated: +1Vote for this!
