The majority of my dreams are non linear. That do not make much of any sense even when I try and reorganize them. It's strange having multiple dreams in one sleep time and having them pieced in out of order. I wonder if this is just the way I remember them?? I do not think so.

I to have multiple dreams in a night, and I keep a dream journal. However it is only certain dreams that upon waking stay with me. Those dreams are the ones that I write down fully as the others are reduced to simple phrases and ideas.

I would really like to know if after you have written the dreams you have dreamed do you ever still have the same antagonistic in future dreams? I have nasty night terrors and had tried working with one; But did not keep up and did not seem to be effective for me.

Your internal super ego/subconscious/inner wise being is trying to tell you a narrative :)

Well it certainly is an interesting narrative, I'll give it that much...and it's been going on for the past decade haha.

According to my brilliant psych professor who was sort of a pioneer in consciousness research, you should write down your dreams with as much detail as you can, then try to figure out what they mean. Different symbols can mean different things to different people, but there's a lot of similarity. Then you can figure out what they're trying to tell you, and "crack" the code so you can talk with your wiser inner self. You can also train yourself to have lucid dreams, wherein you can interact with your dream to figure things out.

I do write them down actually. I've written them all down on here, just to try and wrap my mind about it. Not all of my dreams are remembered in great detail...just some of them...but the ones that are remembered in great detail...I can recall vividly for years after I have them, without writing them down.
