Why do the say you can't divide by zero when I do it all the time in real life?

I have two kids and ten sweets. Both kids were naughty so I decide to divide the sweets equally between none (0) of the kids. Do each kid get undefined sweets? NO! They each get 0 sweets. Take that all you math geniusses! :-)

Bwhahahahahahahahah *I* love this...my mom said the same thing...
She would say," I have 3 girls being bratty and you get 0 candy, do the math!"
My sisters and I would be sitting here thinking, how is that a math problem???

myfaultofcourse	Posted Nov 4th, 2009 at 7:18AM The answer to a division problem would be how many times does zero go into the number that you have - it's not how many does each kid get. So, the question is how many times can you give them none if you have 10. That answer is "error, can't divide by zero." If you have 10, you could give them none once every second for 350 million years and you'd still have 10 unless you eat them. Rated: +1Vote for this!
